Top 10 things you DON’T want to Hear on a First Date

In Advice and Encouragement, Dating, Single by Debra Fileta

My husband and I randomly compiled this list one Saturday afternoon.  If you ever hear any of the following on a first date, by all means….run!

“I’d love to go out for ice cream after this, but my parole officer says I have to be home by 9pm”

“Did you know that you can get a 20% discount if you buy online dating services in 5-year multiples?”

“So let’s fast forward, what are some of your favorite baby names?”

“You remind me so much of my last boyfriend!  It’s a shame that didn’t work out.”

“So far, this dinner date is going so much better than the girl I went out with for lunch!”

“I know we just ordered dinner, but would you mind if I listed you as ‘spouse’ for my relationship status on Facebook?”

“Oh, this old thing?  It’s just my wedding ring.”

“Wow! That was the first time I’ve ever ordered lobster tail for dinner, and by the way, I left my wallet at home.”

“Would you take it personally if I asked our waitress for her phone number?”

“I was hoping to take you somewhere a little nicer for dinner, but all my assets were frozen by the IRS yesterday.”
